Virtual Visits
For your convenience, we offer you the care your children needs without having to visit the office! All you need is a smart phone, tablet or computer with a webcam to access our safe and secure online telemedicine visits. This “virtual care” mirrors an in-office appointment with the provider you trust and is available when you need it most. Our online telehealth visits make access to our providers easier, faster and more convenient than ever for our families.
Here's what you need to know:
- Appointments: All Virtual Visits are by appointment only. Call our office at 814-266-8840 during business hours to schedule your virtual appointment. Virtual visits are available every day of the week, including weekends!
- Types of Visits: In a Virtual Visit, we can see most sick visits as well as prescribe and refill medications. Well visits will continue to be in our offices which are reserved for healthy appointments only.
- Insurance: Because of COVID-19, most insurance companies will cover the visit as they would a visit in the office. Check with your insurance provider if you are unsure about coverage for your child.
- Access: Call the office to schedule an appointment. You’ll receive a link to join the telehealth appointment after scheduling. All of the providers on varying schedules will offer a live, interactive appointment.

Before your child's video visit please be prepared with the following:
- Your child must be present with you during the video visit
- Try to avoid doing the call in areas where your Wifi or data coverage is poor.
- Place your child in a quiet and well-lit setting. Please try to eliminate background noise (like a TV) and distractions. Try to avoid having your back to a window or lighting source.
- Please know your child's weight, a recent temperature and a listing of any medications your child is taking
- Have a working flashlight nearby (to look into the mouth and throat)
- Know your child's pharmacy information in case a prescription is needed
- Video is good, but photos are better: If there is something you want to show us (for example, a rash or lump or bump), take a couple of unzoomed still photos in good lighting BEFORE the call. We will help you share those images during the telehealth visit or you can upload to the patient portal prior to your visit.
